So I tried signing in to Microsoft through User Accounts, through Mail and through Microsoft store having created a new user profile and the same thing occurred.
Would it have to do anything with my anti-virus? or the firewall blocking something?
I'll try some of the suggestions in the other article, but so far nothing is working but will let you know if they do.

That may be possible that anti-virus and firewall are blocking such process.

I did a troubleshoot on the Windows Store Apps.
I got this message.

This means it started the BITS service which is one of the services running in the background. Can you try to check if it works this time?

It's like as if it can't connect, or something is blocking from connecting to the account
It doesn't even let me add my gmail account or any other account for that matter.
It's saying internet connection failure - my internet is working fine.
